WANT TO READ FIVE TIMES FASTER? GUARANTEED!!

Yes you think the good Dr. has lost it,
but guess, what, NOPE- know this
works, have used it for years, and it
works.  Isn't hard, isn't a hassle- it's
so easy, when I tell you what the deal
is, you're gonna say- "doc you killin'
me wit' this stuff, let's go grab some
etouffee...."  or something like that...

So that means if right now you are
reading one book every two or three
weeks- you are going to be reading
five in that same
amount of time!
With no hassle- no sweat- and no
headache!  Hard to believe isn't it?
But here is the deal, I've used this
for years, and it works, and every
person that I've shared this with
who uses it...well, they are just
blown away by how easy and how
quick this is.

It's not that you aren't reading, it's
how you are doing what you are doing-
AND- catch this...it's where!  Let's be
adult about this...yes, the can, it's a real
place, and, well- reading can take place
there...although it doesn't necessarily
have to, the real secret to this method,
if there is one- is how you go about doing
what you are doing- this will take some
getting used to.  You put a book in the
car- AND- catch this, you read in it,
much as you can, five minutes before
you take off, OR, five minutes before
you start home, OR, when you pull
into the drive!  Book in the car!

Book in the den, where you sit down
to watch T.V.- beside where you sit
down- put the book there!  Book
in the kitchen- if you really want to
get radical with this, put the book where
you go most often when you go into the
kitchen...that's right...the refrigerator.
Book in the bedroom, beside the bed,
before you sleep, or, when you wake
up; five minutes...that's all, that's all there
is to this, and if you will do it- you will
increase the number of books you read,
and you'll make an amazing discovery;
your mind works by where, and remembers
the story by where you are reading it at.
Simple- my turn- "I told ya so..."

Your Opportunity Is Looking Right At You

YouTube presents you as a television channel.
This truth is sobering, especially if nobody
watches, then, it's very sobering.

It might mean you don't post a video worth taking
in, or, it can mean that your video is fine,
it's just not what certain people want to
look at, so they don't talk about it, hence
the term "social media."

But knowing social media and doing social
media are two different things.  Just as
knowing about grants, and then writing
grants, are two different things.  But both
are necessary, it's really a question of
which you want to do?  If you'd like
to do some research and get into making
money from that- we believe that we
have a great key that will unlock the
doors you need unlocked to get such.
If you'd like to get into grant writing-
we believe we have the best opportunity
going to break into the field, and we'd
love to chat with you about it.

DEJA M00 Hits Full Force

This morning, March 1st, 2012,
Facebook opened
me up with a great
big..."oh I
know you
didn't shoot
that green stuff at me!"
Moment, that can't
not be shared.
Had that odd feeling
that we've been here before?

Let me explain..

On March 15th, in the Springhill
Community Civic Center Council
Chambers, (and hopefully the
turn out will be great enough
that we'll have to use the
big room) we are going to
have one of the most
powerful leaders in small business,
anywhere,
John Matthews, (CLICK)
come to see us.  Ordinarily
this wouldn't be a big deal,
but here in Louisiana, it is,
and keep reading and
I'll tell you why...plus...
throw in a
little secret you really
don't wanna miss...

In Louisiana small business
there is funding
available, which is
always good news, grants, and loans, and...money!
Small business is usually not fortunate
enough to have a staff of people to research
and write grants, it would be nice if they
could afford such, but usually they can't.
So several years back, Louisiana's Governor,
Bobby Jindal,(CLICK)
took action and started teaching a lot of people how to
research and write grants for small business.
Here's the kicker, as they say, much of what
happens with a grant doesn't happen at just the
research and writing phase, much of it is follow through
with the people who have their hands on the money spicket...enter
our hero- John Matthews.

Ordinarily, it would be just another
visit from the state government "down south,"
in Louisiana, to their distant friends and voters,
"up north," in the state- but not this time.  What
happens when we explain to powerful people
that we need assistance in the north
of the state is, they hear, "travel,
no shows, small crowd,
little interest."  What we're
saying is, "wow do
we ever need what you have."
What they are hearing is,
"here we go again, we've traveled
up there before,
and nobody showed up."
See the problem?
So this time, we have to do
whatever we have to do,
to make sure that doesn't happen
this time.  We need what this
man has to offer...and to
sweeten the deal...we have a special prize -
and it's a nice one-
your name goes into the bowl for two such
nice gift receipts for $25.00 to a local eatery
that is nice  - hows that!  Two names will
be drawn from the people who email us
to say "we're gonna be there - March 15th
at 5:30- Council Chambers" - and we'll draw
them out that evening...NOW- hows that for
cool...NO MORE DEJA M00 Huh?

Story Telling For You - Chapter Six-b - Magic time

Gene was giving me that look, you know the one,
she could’ve tapped her foot with it, that look.
“They had guns Gene, guns, these people are criminals.”
“So you thought you could do crime and that
you wouldn’t deal with criminals?  This whole
stealing thing wasn’t our idea Chuckles.”
“Gene’s right man, it’s not what we wanted,”
this wasn’t the time I wanted smadge chimin’
in.  “Guns people, this is serious.” I’m not even sure
what I meant by that?

“Well, la dee dah, man, I’m glad you let us
in on that Chuck with all your considerable
skills.  What’d you come up with, huh, a
rumor, an idea?  Not even an idea, you
overheard some security, no not even
security, former security guy(!) talking about
something he thought he’d seen, and off
you went into lah lah land with us.”
As much as I thought of smadge, this was
not what I wanted to hear.  “OK. I’ll admit
I got a little heavy handed.”  Evidently what
I’d just said didn’t sit well with Gene?
“Heavy handed?  You don’t remember saying
to me that we didn’t have any guts?”
“I remember.”
“Well isn’t that grand, he remembers Jeff,
great, that’s just great, do you also remember
saying that if we didn’t at least try to back your
play on this, your play Chuck, that we just weren’t
even family?”
“Yeah I did…”
“How could you say that to smadge, I get being
pissed at me, I really do, but smadge?  Chuck,
no smadge no you, remember, out there in the
140 degree sand, in everything you tell me, in the
beans even, and how it stunk like urine constantly
in that damn bio-hazard coffin, what’d you call
them…”
“Green heat,,,”
“Yeah, green heat, that was it, how people threw
up in ‘em, start of the shift, but couldn’t take the
mask off ‘til all clear, how that mine had gone off
and then the fire, and how no smadge draggin
your sorry butt out, and you ain’ here?”
“Yeah I do…”
“So what did you expect Jeff to do, let them
get to me?”
“That’s not the point Gene…”
“Oh, oh great,” she gestured to Jeff, “that’s
not the point?” I remembered a scene out of
a movie – it was a lawyer who was drunk and
he was carrying on about how if he did what he was
supposed to do he’d end up teaching something like
how to take care of typewriters at a Federal Prison?
Don’t know why such stuff pops into my head but I
love movies…guess that’s why?

“Gene you’re goin’ off on me about the something
that turned out wrong, it just turned
out wrong, you said you were going to go
out there and follow up on what you thought
you heard those guys talking about.  When I
said I was goin,  you insisted that it would be
better for me to keep up appearances and just
go to work.  Then I get out of the truck, and
what do I catch, this call?  I think all things
considered, I’m doin’ pretty well?
Pretty well always got under Smadge’s’ skin.

“Pretty well,” Smadge had always hated half baked,
“you think you’re doin’ pretty well?  Chuck I do
really wonder about you sometimes,” he
slanted his face toward me, “what’cha think this
is Chuck, war paint?”  I shook my head no, so he
wouldn’t hit me, “they cut me man, they were ready
to shoot, me, Gene, whatever, they aren’t wrapped
tight, get it, while you’re doin’ pretty well?”
It had all gone south so fast that Gene and Jeff were
caught in a situation that nobody anticipated, we’d
walked into real criminals, and without knowing it, and
now; they weren’t, apparently, just going to let bygones
be bygones- at least that’s what Smithy was getting at
when they found us at the ER.

Alan and Smithy, wow, now there was a pair, but the
question was, of what?
“We don’t want to have trouble follow us around,
we know we shouldn’t have acted like we did.”  And it
was impossible not to believe Alan, he had those
kind of deep blue eyes that made lying from them
hard to fathom?  “We followed you over here to
see if we could help pay for what we did when
we cut your man there?”
I wasn’t concerned about money- I was, but not
really, know what I mean?  Money wasn’t the
issue, Jeff’s face being cut on, was.
“It ain’ the money.”
“We kinda figured that is why we’re here.”
Gene stepped back saying, “any other reason
you might be here?”  What did she suspect?
“We –“ and Alan stopped, Smithy gestured
toward a cop car pulling into the ER space.
“We are not looking for trouble here dude.”
“Yeah I got that, us neither, let’s just be cool.”
“Works for me,  Al?”
“We might oughta split man?”  He looked at me
like I’d know if that was the right thing to
do?  I cooperated with his head – “well,
walk past ‘em, we’re sayin’ it was a fishin’
accident, they got nothin’ to say.”
That’s what he did, but it was also
obvious, we were gonna see ‘em again.

F.I.E.R.O. Back to Basics In a Big Way For You

Five areas, into which, many, many different observations fit.
It's a hard fact of the knowledge which is transmitted within
it, that you can learn a lot about yourself by examining models
of what can take place.  When we consider FIERO as a theory,
as a way of looking at business, as a model; we are talking
about many different angles.  Today we ask the question about
responsibility- which is more important- group "big picture"
responsibility or personal, individual responsibility?
here's the good Dr. let us hear from you...

Follow...Your Heart, Not Your Head, in Social Media

 Seriously..."Ya Gotta Have Heart...
Miles and Miles and Miles of Heart..."

You guys know I think the world of Mari Smith, I really do, she has just been wonderful to me as a coach, as a mentor, and as a leader in the Facebook and social media world- SO, you know if I say anything even a itsy bitsy tee-I-nsy critical of her, in any way, IT must be something that can't be ignored, right?  Can we agree on that one?  If we can't, hit stop, right here, and comment away at, heck, jump my bones on Twitter, guaranty ya, I'll get back with ya...right?  SO, what's the big deal with Mari Smith - what did I find that I just couldn't overlook?  Oh c'mon, if I was to just give that to ya now...what would we do with the rest of the article?  (Pretty cheesy huh?)

You guys who have been reading me for a while, but not saying anything back to me, you know who you are...;-)  Well- you guys know the hit counter knows you were here ;-)  It lurks in some sneaky program or other...but, you know I love Chris Voss and think he's just, "the man."  You know this 'cause you've heard me speak of Chris often, and always in a good way, right?  SO, why would I mention Mr. Voss...kiddin'...he goes by Chris with me always and I feel he's that polite with everyone- Chris and Mari, they both are gonna catch it in one shot...which means, the good Dr. is fixin' to say somethin' that he has really, REALLY, thought through, because these are people that I deeply respect and they are what I view as social media leaders...

"Yeah OK fine Dana we get it...you're gonna hand out
a "dis" towel...let's dry it up lad..."

Is it possible that Mari and Chris have grown and while they were at it, let their organizational nuance go?  That's a deep one, isn't it, but here is what I notice- Mari keeps fresh content, but, not fresh contact, and, last year, when I first became one of her ardent followers...and I'll be honest- I really did start following Mari for the content she was putting out, and not because she has such an incredible smiling image...although...Mari is what we in the south call, "a fox," that had nothing to do with why I listened to her...Mari really knows social media...only back then, she contacted me a whole bunch more...and seemed very much more responsive than she is today, and my suspicion is, that Mari is struggling with social media growth?  Now this is not to say that her writings, her work, her counseling, her sessions and all the great and wonderful things that she does professionally aren't all there...not at all, if  you get a chance to follow Mari and you don't, wow wee are you missing out, that's not what I am saying, OK, get it pure and straight, this is the subtle every once in a while friendly contact that used to take place but today...isn't?

With Chris it's more subtle yet still...Chris used to put out a fresh video, with an insanely cutting edge, cellular or better techno-note, daily.  I was blown away by the depth of it, and the content majesty of his videos...then...some months back, Chris slowed the ol' video machine down?  Now that's not to say that you won't hugely benefit from any contact with this social media genius, not at all, Chris has more knowledge that he's let pass about business and social media than I'll ever acquire- he is, the hard spun genuine article, no doubt about it, but I've noticed, here lately, things haven't been as quick it would seem for him?

And now for my little selfish thingee...it has happened to me...from social media, I got huge contacts, man alive...and from networking via Facebook and Twitter, got huge numbers of, "wow dude, you do grant writing, because...we've got this..." and away we'd go...it's enormous...only guess what, it brings with it the auto-responder challenge?  The fresh content challenge, that my bud Lori Taylor, brings out in an enormous way, Lori has learned to let social media work for her, a craft I am still struggling with...but back to my two heroes, my absolute most strong folk, Mari and Chris, all of a sudden it occurred to me, with my itty bitty little network goin' on that I wasn't blogging every day...because, my good contact clients were literally nailin' my time...and so...I just wonder, is that happenin' to folks and we didn't see this one coming?  It is true that there is a light at the end of the tunnel...let's just hope it's not that train...

Wanna Twit on the doc?  Twit here for a while, go ahead, twit down..;-)

Don't NO Do

"I want to..."
Site Link
"No I better not..."
"Yes I can..."
"No I can't"
"Yes do it..."
"No better not..."
This is the battle in the head that we
all go through.  We may try to say that
we don't, but we do.  The battle is a
good one, it is a necessary one, and
it allows you to grow and experience
things in your life, usually with a
minor amount of danger.  It is
your internal talk that is to keep
you safe.  Do you listen?

Rural Social Media is an add-on
to the already existing, enormous,
amount of work done by over
7 million different contributing
people and agencies.  But our
goal is to become and be a help
to those who would make use
of what we would have to offer.
The simplest concept and yet
it might just be one that can
really come to fruition in 2011.

Do you believe that in the small
outlying communities from the
cities that resources can exist
that will help those communities?

Simple Makes So Much More Sense

One of the things that really sort of gets
on my nerves is stuff I cannot try by my
lonesome? Well this shows you how to take
simple home stuff and make it work, just
by changing the lighting- have a laptop
with a camera? Let fly!
